A holiday day every day would be my perfect day
A Lucy King challenge
First, to wake, I change and slip out of the cabin careful not to wake my family. I am considerate but honestly, it’s so I can hold onto my precious me time with my own thoughts in the mornings.
It is already in 20’s the sun is bright and high in the sky, with a soothing warm sea breeze. — Just how I like. :-)
I take my hired bike, savouring the opportunity to explore and combine with exercise. Returning the morning greeting “Buongiorno”, its smiles all around.
At my destination, I park my bike and mindfully absorb with all my senses the peace and tranquillity of the beach. The blueness of the Mediterranean sea reminds me of how great it is to be alive.
Back outside our holiday home, I read over a leisurely breakfast. A smooth coffee features as I settle to write, caffeine fuels my brain cells into action. On this perfect day, inspiration comes easily.
Lost in my thoughts, an hour maybe more slips by. I am joined by my family they come and go for breakfast. Plans for the day ahead are made, for once we all agree. A mix of sightseeing and lazying by the pool, the best of both.
Thanks to Lucy King for the 200 (well.. slightly over) words or less challenge. I am not there yet but this holiday day is the type of day I would naturally want to relive every day.
