Gail, I share the despair and analysis the US like other countries around the world appears to be shifting towards the right. Evident in reading the results of different country approaches and elections. It appears we are more isolated and divided and approaching a tipping point of potentially devastating consequences.

You and I know both know money and votes talk. That's my assessment of what I see behind current actions and policies. With the best will and intentions it takes strong character to not succumb to the pull of either. We are reaping the actions and control that has been in place over many years.

I completely understand the urgency and frustration in your essay and I agree and see the same hope in the younger generation who have and are inheriting the mess. Thank you for continually shining light and hope. It helps when sometimes all I see is tragedy and despair.
