Great article Jennifer, always good to dispel the myths which seems to rattle around for a long time.

Like you, I have heard so many over the years but the most poignant for me right now is the myth around reps. It is a common misconception when training for speed the quantity and number of reps is a bigger factor over the quality of the runs.
