Hi Gail, So many great insights and a lot to unpack. I appreciate and understand the parallels you have drawn from Caste (how we enforce social orders and promote hierarchies) to the perils of propaganda to the dehumanisation of individuals and groups of people (reminds me of the pyramid of hate which leads to Genocide), all to serve a system, maintain and justify domination and brutal regimes.

I have not watched Orign, but I am noting I should; thank you for the review. I have always been impressed with Ava DuVernay's work, her fight for justice and what she has accomplished to bring awareness to important social issues.

It is very telling and interesting when you pick up news from the rest of the world; the actions and worldviews we are presented with are clearly not shared.

I see and believe there is hope, and the tide is changing, albeit not at the rate and extent it should. I agree the key is opening our hearts.
