How a Stranger Graciously Reminded Me Where to Find Joy

Sometimes we wake up, and there are days where we feel it in our bones; we instantly know how the day will unfold.

Call it intuition or just knowing but either way, before that life-saving morning coffee or tea if you prefer. The chances are as you dress, your tasks and potential day challenges have begun to dress your mind.

Armed with this knowledge, you begin to ease through your morning ritual, calming the turbulent sea of thoughts flooding your mind and body with gratitude and positivity.

You are alive and functioning, hoorah! Lots to be grateful for as you gain your perspective and begin to search for imaginative ways to navigate or maybe avoid the tasks ahead.

For me, this past Monday morning, I moved through with a heart longing acceptance that a peaceful weekend doing what I wanted to do had now come to an end.

With the weekend a distant memory, I knew my day ahead would be a relatively good one despite work because the sun was shining, the sky was blue, and it was not too cold a morning.

I didn’t know how much better the day would get through a chance encounter. But I guess you never do unless you are clairvoyant…
