LM I read this in two sittings, partly because of the trigger warning (thank you for the advance notice) and mainly because I wanted to properly read and give this piece the attention it deserves.

So much honesty and life wisdom from your compassion and understanding you show towards your friend through to the realities which I and I imagine so many of us don't have to consider.

It truly does put life into perspective when you think of those courageous individuals who work on the front line or are part of the team of first responders as does it make you think about their families and of course the affected families.

Life truly is precious and if we remember and have the capacity to live through and keep our hearts open then as you say we find meaning and hopefully also see there is always beauty nearby even in some of our darkest moments. 🙏
