The mere fact that we interface with the world mainly through our five main senses which in turn the brain filters and interprets suggest that there could be more. Especially when hear cases of people suffering from synesthesia or of people who have adapted to use one sense in place of another.

I love the connection between essays on how what we believe (magical or not) and our experiences from an early age influence what we see, believe and hear. Highly fascinating and thought provoking. Thanks for sharing.
