This is such a wondrful essay Sara and one as you rightly say is gaining more mainstream traction.

I sometimes think, because of the reasons you mentioned we made a wrong turn long ago and are still suffering the consequences trapped in systems and processes that are out-dated no longer (as if they ever did) serve us.

I completely agree it feels like a seismic shift is occuring and technology has a hand in that. For the first time in out history we have the power to act as collectively. The question is, will we? We need to with the challenges ahead, but I guess time will tell.
