Tre your writing is like a birdsong. In reading this vulnerable piece I couldn't help but come up with a multitude of reasons why I love your writing and hope you continue to write as you do.

I can relate to many of your expressed feelings and in some respects think it is healthy to have a pinch of them as it helps to keep us grounded.

I think as you said, as long as it does not become crippling and stifling and hold you back from achieving and receiving what you deserve then go get it.

Interesting point you make about how the world has changed and the space for writers is diminished. I had not given this too much thought and naively assumed there would always be an audience. Who knows perhaps there will be a renaissance once the short and attention grabbing forms have had their day.
