We May Not Agree But We Share The Same Anxiety
What do you say when worry steals joy?
Long before our knowledge of the contagion
the virus knew what it was about
Indiscriminate and unforgiving
It was never personal or regarding the individual
but always about collective survival
The virus or us
Co-existence will never be an amenable option
Prevalent by our insurmountable loss
Life, income, physical contact
While we are hit hard on all fronts
The virus silent and invisible moves on
Doing what it invariably set out to do
Eat at our existence
Cloaked in its own science of unpredictability
Allies are found in our indifference
But that too is not enough
The erosion of hope another target
abled by the distortion
for some of their perspective
Understandably we agonise
and acknowledge a worry is a worry
big and small
